
Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Dental Discovery and Research (IJDDR) welcomes high-quality, original manuscripts that contribute significantly to the advancement of dental science, clinical practice, and interdisciplinary research. Authors are advised to carefully read and comply with the following guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
IJDDR accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

2. Manuscript Preparation
Language
-
All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.

Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek professional language editing prior to submission.

Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt

Line spacing: 1.5

Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

3. Structure of the Manuscript
Title Page

4. Ethical Considerations
-
Studies involving human participants must include ethical committee approval and informed consent.

Animal studies must follow internationally accepted ethical standards.

Clinical trials should be registered with a recognized trial registry.

Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
5. Plagiarism Policy
IJDDR follows a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

Acceptable similarity index: ≤ 15% (excluding references)

Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be rejected or returned for revision.
6. References

Referencing style: Vancouver Style

References must be numbered consecutively in the order of citation.
-
Authors are responsible for accuracy and completeness of references.

7. Figures and Tables

Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively.
-
Each figure/table must have a clear title and legend.
-
Images should be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

Authors must obtain permission for reproduced material.
8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted online only through the journal’s submission system.

Authors should ensure that all required files are uploaded, including:

9. Peer Review Process
-
IJDDR follows a double-blind peer review process.
-
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.
10. Article Processing Charges (APC)

IJDDR is an open-access journal.

Details regarding Article Processing Charges (if applicable) are clearly communicated to authors after acceptance.

No submission fee is charged.
11. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work.

Articles are published under a Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC).

Proper attribution is required for reuse.
12. Post-Publication Policy

Authors may share the published version of their article for academic and research purposes.

Corrections or retractions will be issued in case of post-publication ethical concerns.
